Nanaimo residents, we’re excited to announce that Downtown Nanaimo Dental Group is a proud participant in the new Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)! This groundbreaking initiative aims to make dental care more accessible and affordable for Canadians, and we’re here to help you navigate the process.

What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

The CDCP is a federal government program designed to help eligible Canadians access the dental care they need. It’s a significant step towards ensuring everyone can maintain good oral health, regardless of their financial situation.

Who is eligible for the CDCP in Nanaimo?

Applications for the CDCP are rolling out in phases:

Phase 1: Canadians aged 65 and over (Applications are now open!)
Phase 2: Children under 18 and people with valid disability tax credit certificates (Applications open in June 2024)
Phase 3: Remaining eligible Canadians aged 18-64 (Applications open in 2025)

Booking Your Appointment at Downtown Nanaimo Dental Group

Once your CDCP application is approved, you’ll receive a welcome package that includes your coverage start date. You can then schedule your appointment with us for on or after that date.

Diagnostic Services: Examinations, x-rays
